Restaurants and Facilities
The Boma specialises in a superb selection of traditional Zimbabwean dishes and is renowned for its warthog fillet. Tuck into a four-course meal of mouth watering starters from the kitchen, soup from the campfire, a substantial barbeque buffet served on cast iron plates with a selection of salads, followed by a choice of delicious desserts. Everyone’s tastes are catered for, and whilst the adventurous are enticed with local delicacies such as Mopani worms and game stews, those wishing to enjoy beef, pork, fish and chicken or a variety of vegetarian meals are welcome to do so.
When it comes to Victoria Falls restaurants, the award-winning MaKuwa-Kuwa located within the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge’s central hub is guaranteed to impress. It is a split level a la carte restaurant with impeccable service, mouth-watering meals, a wide selection of fine South African wines and incredible views, which makes dining here an experience fit for royalty.
The open-plan Buffalo Bar is two flights down from the MaKuwa-Kuwa restaurant and is a perfect venue for all-day refreshments as well as sundowners, pre and post-dinner drinks, with a full snack/ light meal menu, cocktail list and wine menu.The Buffalo Bar has its own game-viewing platform overlooking the waterhole. Look out for elephants, buffalo, kudu, impala, warthogs, hyena, crocodile, birds plus many more. Don’t forget to add to the ‘game activity at the waterhole’ book and read through what other animals have been spotted that day. If you want to get up close and personal with the game you can book a ‘hide sit’ with a professional guide.
